Environmental Credentials
Eduardo Marquez is a renowned specialist in tree preservation. Over 580 mature specimens were saved during the construction of Edgewater Office Park. All architectural building layouts were designed to preserve large groups of trees. Roots were carefully trimmed and treated with nutrients to preserve and protect each tree. This unique conservation policy has successfully enhanced Edgewater’s award winning landscape. Dr. Costanis an arborist who was chief of Walt Disney World landscaping was our close team member and formed our policies for Tree Preservation at Edgewater.
Tree Preservation
Selective tree clearing is performed with special equipment to preserve large tree specimens.
The machinery used has wide pads to avoid root compaction on the trees.
Tree Surveys
The architectural layouts of the buildings were specifically designed to preserve large groups of trees.
Sustainability
When trees needed to be removed, they were shredded and repurposed into sustainable, recycled topsoil for the project. Onsite composting was combined with peat moss to create nutrient-rich topsoil for project landscaping.
Edgewater Nature Preservation
We are very proud of our accomplishments in the building of Edgewater. It is our greatest hope that the pride we feel will be valued by our visitors, as an example of humanity and nature living in harmony. This unique conservation policy has successfully enhanced Edgewater’s award-winning landscape. The pristine lakes have significantly improved the habitat for migratory birds.

Wildlife Preservation
Not only does Marquez go to great lengths to ensure environmental protection, but we also take great care to preserve animal biodiversity on our lands. Fish thrive in the incredibly clear, sandstone waters of Edgewater.
