Resume
"Eduardo Marquez was one of my courses most important sponsors. Eduardo has brought several more projects for my course to study. Perhaps one of the most interesting, challenging, and, eventually; the most successful was a proposed new office park on the north side of Boston. It involved a complex site with numerous ponds and natural vegetation that had to be protected and woven into the overall development plan. After our Harvard student study Marquez's team of professionals translated the site into what came to be known as EDGEWATER OFFICE PARK. It won several local to national awards as one of the most successful projects of its kind."
Houston, Texas

Marquez started in the construction business in Houston, Texas. He operated as a Houston based contractor through the early 1980’s. During this period Houston’s Oil economy was booming and this propelled the company’s growth. Marquez Construction’s largest client was Exxon Oil Company. Important fast track construction techniques were learned while doing extensive contracting work for Exxon.
Los Angeles, California

Marquez’s focus in Southern California has been on developing large master planned communities modeled after the successes in Boston. The Edgewater community in Chino, California had been under an extensive entitlement and rezoning process. A multi disciplined development team was assembled by Marquez to realize this ambitious project of 1074 waterfront homes.
The 272 acre property was successfully rezoned from agricultural to 1074 waterfront homes. It took over five years of intensive work with the Army Corps, Orange County, State of California officials, local boards and elected officials to accomplish this very unique project. In 2009 the banking collapse stalled completion of the project.
Boston Projects

Marquez’s vision at Edgewater was to create stunning waterfront views for the tenants in the park. Although this was Marquez’s first project utilizing man-made lakes, the water features where a critical factor in the success of the office park.
Before - Raw 132 acres on a major Route 128 interchange
After - Edgewater is now completed as a seven-building 980,000 SF office park
Infrastructure Specialization
Marquez has over 27 years of infrastructure development experience. Many of his major projects have required extensive road, bridge and utility construction.

InWood project in Boston posed difficult ledge conditions and over 180,000 cu.yds of rock blasting was required. Interstate 93 had to be closed by State Troopers eight times for this blasting and road work to be constructed.
To ensure the pristine natural views are preserved, all of the utilities throughout the 132 acres of Edgewater Office Park are underground. This approach is consistently applied in all our projects to preserve natural beauty.
